SRINGERI: Former CM BS Yeddyurappa accused the opposition leaders of making baseless allegations against him, when he was working tirelessly for the development of the state. He was speaking to media persons during his visit to the temple town on Independence Day. “I will continue to work for the development of the state and the common man and I am least bothered about allegations. Every man has to face bad times and it is my turn now and I am sure that the good days will be awaiting me,” Yeddyurapa said confidently.Regarding the flag hoisting controversy at Bellary, he opined that the new CM was capable to resolve such issues. I will make efforts to strengthen and bring teh BJP to power with a big majority and tour every nook and corner of the state,” Yeddyurappa said. Replaying to a question, he expressed confidence that Sringeri MLA Jeevaraj would get a berth in the Cabinet in the next expansion.Yeddyurappa offered special puja at Sharadamba temple and visited Vidya Shankar and Shankara temple. He called on Bharathi Theertha Mahaswamiji who was observing Chathurmasya Vritha at Narasimhavana and sought his blessings. Yeddyurappa was accompanied by his son MP Raghavendra, Minister Bommai, Shimoga MLA Kumar Swamy. Local MLA Jeevaraj welcomed the leader at Sharadha Peeta and ZP vice-president Ranganath and TP president Arun Kumar were present.
