RAMANATHAPURAM: Justice Sampath, who was appointed by the government to prepare a report on the police firing incident at Paramakudi, visited some more villages in the district on Thursday.Sampath, who arrived at Paramakudi for the second time on Thursday to conduct a probe, interacted with government officials at the guest house here. Collector Arun Roy also met Sampath. Meanwhile, rumours were doing the rounds that black flags were hoisted atop houses in a village.In Madurai, RDO R Durairajan, who was appointed by the Collector to probe the firing near the Chintamani toll gate on September 11, has requested witnesses to the incident to testify before him by November 1. They can testify either in person or through post, on or before 5 pm on November 1.
