Jammu: Stressing on people's support in combating crime and anti-social activities, Jammu and Kashmir DGP Kuldeep Khoda on Tuesday said it was due to their cooperation that peace had revisited the Kashmir Valley.
"With the cooperation of people, a congenial and peaceful atmosphere has been created and the force will contribute more with the dint of their dedication and spirit of public service," he said.
All the ill designs of the elements, inimical to peace, would be foiled in Jammu and Kashmir, Khoda told police jawans during twin police durbars in Poonch and Rajouri border districts. He said the state police had to become more "people friendly" and provide better policing.
The force had to show high degree of resilience in maintaining law and order in the state.
