Players play for pride
Players play for pride
Follow us:WhatsappFacebookTwitterTelegram.cls-1{fill:#4d4d4d;}.cls-2{fill:#fff;}Google NewsIt was very sad day for the players as after waiting for half of the day the match was called off.

Robin Uthappa was expected to make his debut and even some of the newcomer like RP Singh and Munaf Patel would have been looking for a nice outing in the middle.

However, it is never easy for a newcomer to wait in the dressing room not knowing when the match would start while the established players have the fun.

Today also Pathan and Dhoni enjoyed a fun ride in the helicopter and it was good to see them in a relaxed mood.

Though many people have been saying that after winning the One-Day series India will take things lightly but I can confidently say that players play for pride more than anything else.

Sehwag had also pointed out that India will now look at the series as a three match race. This is the attitude to show when you are playing in a dead rubber.

England would have also enjoyed the break as it has been a long tour for them. The hot and humid weather has taken its toll on the visitors. They are probably waiting to go back home.

But before that there are two more matches and they are also at places where the weather would be hot and humid.

For India the time is ripe to test the bench strength and to make sure that whenever a senior player is not in the team those in the reserves can fill in their shoes immediately.

I believe that Munaf should be in the team for the West Indies tour.
