HYDERABAD: The PIL bench of AP HC comprising chief justice Nisar Ahmad Kakru and justice Vilas Afzalpurkar on Monday dismissed at the admission stage a writ petition filed by a freedom fighter from Warangal wanting a direction to include Chandrababu's regime in the Emaar scam probe. The petitioner Bheem Reddy Ella Reddy said that the project from its very inception was shrouded in mystery and required a thorough investigation. The lands were acquired when Chandrababu Naidu was chief minister. He relied on a report sent up by Directorate of Vigilance and Enforcement which pointed out to involvement of Konneru Prasad and wanted an enquiry from 1999.
The bench dismissed the petition on the ground that the plea was belated and that the acquisition was never challenged.
