Rajdeep wins best anchor award for Battle for India

New Delhi: The ninth Indian Television Academy Awards rolled out it's red carpet on Tuesday night in Mumbai. CNN-IBN walked away with three awards while our sister channel Colors won eight.

CNN-IBN's Editor-in-Chief Rajdeep Sardesai has bagged the Best News Anchor Award this year for the special election show Battle For The States.

CNN-IBN's Shrishti Shanker also won Best News Current Affairs Show Award for the Citizen Journalist Show.

Viacom 18's Colors has been judged the best Entertainment channel and Avika Gaur has been awarded the Best Child Artiste Award for Balika Vadhu.

Funny man Cyrus Broacha was awarded the Best Actor for his Comedy for The Election That Isn't.
