Ravanan in Royapettah GH

CHENNAI: Ravanan, a relative of Sasikala, who was arrested by the Central Crime Branch following a complaint of cheating, was admitted to the Royapettah GH after he complained of giddiness during questioning on Tuesday. A judicial magistrate on Monday had granted police custody of the accused up to February 8. Sources said Ravanan was grilled by CCB sleuths at Neelangarai in connection with a Rs 1 crore cheating complaint filed against him by a realtor from Tiruppur. A special CCB team recently brought him from Coimbatore prison to the city and produced him before Alandur Judicial Magistrate M Balasubramaniam. He was remanded to judicial custody for 15 days and lodged in Central prison, Puzhal.
