BANGALORE: The High Court on Thursday directed the state police to provide security to the complainant in the KIADB land scam, N Ramanjanappa, and directed the ADGP to submit a representation to the court in this regard.Ramanjanappa helped the Lokayukta trap Katta Jagadish, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike corporator and son of former minister Katta Subrahmanya Naidu, and was provided armed security by the city police on October 2010. Two policemen were also asked to guard his mother Akkayyamma, residing in Bandi Kodigahalli.The petitioner contented that he was provided security when the accused were in jail. With them now out on bail, he added that his life and the security of his family were under grave threat. Justice Abdul Nazeer remarked: “Thanks to people like him, property may worth crores were recovered. How can we expect more people to do so without security?”
