HYDERABAD: Close on the heels of arresting Praveen Reddy, inspector of Chaitanyapuri police station, for accepting bribe, the anticorruption bureau (ACB) officials, on Wednesday, caught a probationary SI, attached with the same police station, red-handed when he demanded and accepted `10,000 from the complainant for not arresting his associates in a trespass case.The ACB trapped G Srinivas, a 2009 batch SI posted at Chaitanyapuri police station, when he was accepting bribe. The officials said that Srinivas was a probationer.The complainant, Madhusudhan Reddy, is a realtor On Wednesday night, Srinivas was caught red-handed when he accepted the bribe from Reddy who was waiting near Ashtalakshmi temple in Chaitanyapuri. Police said that, a trespass case was booked against Reddy and others after they tried to object people who were allegedly trying to encroach into a plot in Chaitanyapuri. ACB team recovered the tainted money from the accused and arrested him.
