Mumbai: Japanese consumer electronics giant Sony has set a sales target of Rs 2,000 crore for this festive season, about 35 per cent higher over the year-ago period.
The firm will spend Rs 100 crore on advertising and promotion to boost its sales during the festive season, it said in a statement released here.
"The highlight this year will be the Bravia and we intend to sell 4 lakh units of LED/LCDs during the September-October period," Sony India Senior General Manager (Sales) Sunil Nayyar said.
The company offers a wide range of products, including laptops under the brand Vaio, gaming console Playstation, camera Cyber-shot.
The company also plans to launch its tablets this year in the country.
