New Delhi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has ruled out any likely association with Congress or BJP after assembly polls in the state. The Samajwadi Party chief on being asked whether he would seek support of Congress in case of a hung assembly in the state, said "Samajwadi Party always believes in anti-Congress and anti-BJP politics and it will continue to do so," he told CNN-IBN.
On the possibility of the SP aligning with the BJP to keep Congress out of power, Yadav said, "I have no relationship with the BJP. Those who say we are aligning with the BJP are abusing us and those who oppose us are not secular."
Yadav referred to alleged insult of party leader Amar Singh at Sonia Gandhi's residence during formation of the UPA government at the Centre and said he would not like to go to a place where guests were not treated with dignity.
The law and order situation in Uttar Pardesh was better than in many Congress-ruled states including the national capital, he said.
Young Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was telling lie in this regard, Yadav said adding, "Rahul is a boy. Congressmen are making him to tell lies. They are spoiling his personality."
Regarding his assets, he said he had disclosed these in his nomination papers filed for the state assembly polls.
