Some of the biggest names from the music industry paid tributes.

New Delhi: Actor Jamie Foxx moonwalked at the annual Bet awards, held in Los Angeles on Sunday and the big night was all about the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

The singer's father, Joe Jackson and sister Janet Jackson were also present to celebrate his legacy.

"My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too painful, so they elected me to be here. He was an icon to you all but family to us. He will live in our hearts forever. Michael we love you," said Janet Jackson.

His father Joe Jackson added, "This celebration of my son brought me out tonight. It's fantastic. I just wish that he could have been here to see all this."

And it was not just Jackson's family, but his friends too who reminisced.

Musician P Diddy said, "I have been celebrating Michael's life while the rest of the media's been trying to rip him down."

And still others tried the Jackson look, like Sean Paul who sported a white glove.

"Well, the question of the glove, now. You know, I have to pay respect to Mikey J., I definitely had to," says Paul.

As for the ceremony itself, all musicians sang Jackson's hits to pay a tribute to the music icon. From Beyonce Knowles who picked up the best female R&B BET, to her husband Jay Z and Jamie Foxx who won the best collaboration Bet along with T-pain and rapper Li'l Wayne who was named best male hip hop artiste - they all paid their tributes.

"Long live Michael Jackson! God bless him and his family. We love you Michael and you will live forever in our hearts," said Jamie Foxx.

Clearly, the King of Pop will live on through his music.
