Diploma students have demanded a revamp of the syllabus, method of examination and the early announcement of results by the Directorate of Technical Education.
The members of the Diploma Students’ Association visited Express office on Saturday and explained their problems and demanded the Directorate of Technical Education to review the examination system and accommodate the suggestions made for their benefits.
Girish, a student, said, “Classes are conducted for two months and at the end of the fourth month, examinations are conducted. This leads to shortage of time and practical examinations are perpetually postponed. We do not have time to prepare for the examinations.”
Another student Shashank said, “The marks card are issued eight months after the examinations. We are informed about the day of results’ announcement within a short notice period and no proper information is updated on the DTE website.”
