Bose is back, and this time they have a full fledged system - a home theater entertainment center. There are 3 models available in a graphite grey, each spaced out in terms of price and features, though none is under 50K (its Bose remember). The 3 models are 321 DVD home entertainment system, 321 GS DVD home entertainment system and 321 GSX DVD home entertainment system.
The technology involved is bundled in a flurry of proprietory named items like - Bose TrueSpace digital circuitry (aural enhancer) Bose link, Videostage 5 decoding circuitry (delivers surround sound experience from almost any source), Automatic video upscaling ( 1080p over HDMI) and Bose 321 GSX features uMusic intelligent playback system, which digitally stores thousands of songs in the media center.
While the 321 comes with two arrayed speakers, the 321 GS and 321 GSX systems come with the two proprietary Gemstone speaker arrays. There is a Media centre which houses the DVD/CD player ad AM/FM tuner. Most of the popular media are playable and it allows you to attach additional sources. There is Bose's proprietary Hideaway Acoustimass module and a single Infrared Universal remote. Now there is no Blu-ray player, so we will have to wait for a review to see what the point is.
