Terrorists ambush BSF convoy on Jammu-Srinagar highway, 2 jawans killed, 8 others injured

Some terrorists on Wednesday morning targeted a BSF convoy on Jammu-Srinagar highway in Narsoo area of Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir, killing at least two BSF personnel and injuring at least eight others.

Reports said that a terrorist was also killed in the exchange of fire.

The terror attack on the BSF convoy came soon after a batch of Amarnath pilgrims had passed the spot.

According to reports, the terrorists targeted the convoy, which was on its way from Srinagar to Jammu, from a hillock.

Following the attack, BSF rushed a contingent from Udhampur to Narsoo, which is 16 km away from the district headquarters.
