BANGALORE: The High Court on Wednesday directed the State Government to permit three students of Nettur Technical and Training Foundation (NTTF) to participate in seat selection process for filling up engineering seats through the lateral entry scheme.
Justice Abdul Nazeer, hearing a petition by Vinod Veerashetty and 29 others seeking directions to allow them participate in seat selection process, told the Director of the Technical Education Department and the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) that three students Raghavendra Hugar, Raghavendra Chikorde and Alwin Dias be allowed to participate in the seat selection process. The petitioners had filed an appeal in the High Court after they were denied participation in the CET counselling stating that there is no permission from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to the college conduct the course.

The petitioners submitted that the KEA did not even give them applications to participate in the selection process.

Nagendra Naik, counsel for petitioners, submitted that the recognition given to the college is still valid. The petitioners submitted that only students of the batch 200506 have certificate issued by the institute.
