The rule which demands the signing of the declaration form affirming their faith in Lord Venkateswara and the Hindu religion, before entering the temple on Tirumala for non-Hindus came to be enforced in full here on Monday.
Though the rule was in place earlier, the signing of the declaration form was made mandatory only for VIP non-Hindu pilgrims.
Earlier, the forms were only kept at the Vaikuntam queue complex. But now the forms are available at JEO camp office, Peshkar office, all sub-enquiry centres and offices of all heads of departments on Tirumala.
The TTD has been forced to take this decision following the controversial visit of YSRC president and Kadapa MP, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who visited the temple without signing the declaration form.
