Two country-bombs recovered from Taliparamba

TALIPARAMBA: Two country-bombs were recovered from the premises of the cooperative hospital canteen here early on Thursday morning. The detection of the bombs from the hospital canteen even as normalcy is being restored in the violence-hit areas here came as a shock to the peace-loving people in the district.The country-bombs were spotted by an employee of the hospital canteen at around 4.30 am on Thursday.The employees of the canteen alerted the police, and the entire premises of the hospital and the canteen were searched by a bomb squad. Houses around the hospital also were searched by the police following the recovery of  bombs.Meanwhile, except for a few minor incidents of attacks on houses, the Taliparamba region remained peaceful on Thursday.An all-party meeting was held at the Collectorate on Wednesday evening. The district authorities also have decided to hold peace-meetings in villages where political clashes had taken place in the last few days.
