A Dalit man was allegedly beaten to death by two unidentified men following a brawl over some issue in Pipra Daula Kadam area in Deoria, police said on Saturday. Brijesh (45) had a quarrel with the accused with whom he was sitting at a liquor shop last night, SP Ravi Shankar said.

Later, he was beaten up severely by the duo, resulting in his on-spot death. One of the accused has been arrested while the efforts are on to nab the other one involved in the case, the SP added.
