Violence against senior citizens shows no signs of abating.

New Delhi: Violence against senior citizens shows no signs of abating with two old women in Mumbai and one in Delhi found dead on Thursday.

An 82-year-old woman and her 54-year-old daughter-in-law were found dead in their Liberty Gardens house In Mumbai's Malad suburb on Thursday.

Their bodies were discovered lying in a pool of blood by the woman's son Ramesh Singhvi.

Both victims Rekha and Bhavna had suffered head injuries.

Police say it appears that they were hit on the head with a pestle and mortar in the house.

The police also say that robbery seems to be the motive as 10 tolas of gold and Rs 10, 000 were found missing from the house.

IN New Delhi's Pashchim Vihar area a 52-year-old woman was murdered in on Thursday night.

The victim Kiran was the wife of an accountant and was at home with her daughter when two unidentified men broke into the house at around 2030 hrs IST.

Though the daughter managed to escape by hiding in the bathroom, the men stabbed Kiran and also attacked her with a half broken bottle. Preliminary investigations reveal that the robbery was the motive for the crime.
