Meerut: A 12-year-old boy was allegedly beaten and shot dead today by unidentified assailants in Majid Nagar area in the district, police said.
Shoaib was beaten before being shot dead when he was out playing with his friends, they said.
Some people in the area have been detained for questioning, they said, adding investigations were on in the matter.
