Patna: Pakistani actress Veena Malik, who is on her maiden visit to Bihar, has expressed her desire to work in regional Bhojpuri films.
Malik, 28, who had come to Patna to inaugurate a restaurant on Bailey road today, said she has seen and heard a lot about Bhojpuri films and would love to work in a movie made in the state's regional dialect.
"I have seen a lot of Bhojpuri films online and read about it... If given a chance I would love to work in a Bhojpuri film," she said.
She also compared Patna with Rawalpindi, where she was born in 1984.
"Patna resembles Rawalpindi. After visiting Patna the memory of Rawalpindi came to my mind at once," she said.
The Pakistani actress said RJD President and former Railway minister Lalu Prasad was quite popular in her country and she had met him in the past.
Malik told PTI that she had heard a lot about the good work done by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for development of Bihar and said his visit to Pakistan next month was eagerly awaited by people there.
The actress, who tasted preparations of the restaurant like kabab, mutton, dal and chapati, said she was impressed by the food here.
She also interacted with youths who had thronged the venue in large numbers.
"I was literally taken aback to see that there are so many fans of mine in Patna also," she said.
Veena will be seen next in Kannada version of ‘The Dirty Picture’.
