CHENNAI: The NCC boys’ and girls’ contingents, who represented the NCC Directorate of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Andaman, at the Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) in Delhi, returned to Chennai victorious, both having placed overall second. Seventeen directorates took part in the TSC held from September 3 to 13, and 40 boy cadets, 40 girl cadets, a male and a female ANO, one girl cadet instructor and six army personnel were part of the contingents. Commodore Sartaj Imam, deputy director general of NCC Directorate (TN, Puducherry & Andaman), praised the cadets and staff who have brought laurels to the directorate. Cadets were given medals and a cash incentive.
