Walkathon for patient safety

BANGALORE: The Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA), Bangalore chapter,  will be organising a walkathon as part of World Quality Day celebrations  at 8am on November 13. The walkathon aims to create awareness on patient safety in hospitals and  their rights. It will begin at the Vidhana Soudha and conclude at the Kanteerava Stadium. Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda will flag off the walkathon along with launching two short term skill based courses for improvement of quality in healthcare institutions.“The objective behind this initiative is to spread awareness about patient safety among health care professionals and to make Bangalore a safe health care destination”, said Dr Kishore Murthy,Executive Committee, AHA.
