Water Board staff to go on strike

HYDERABAD: The staff and workers of the Water Works Employees Union have threatened to go an indefinite strike from July 27 in protest against prohibition on payment of overtime, compensation and night allowance. The union members including associate president K Raj Reddy, secretary J Rajender submitted a representation to the chief secretary SV Prasad demanding solution to their long-pending demands.They said that unrest among employees of the Water Board has started cropping up after due to anti-labour policies of the Water Board managing director M Jagadeeshwar.
