Wave World Kabaddi League suspends Yo Yo Tigers
The governing council of the Wave World Kabaddi League have suspended Yo Yo Tigers franchise from further participation in the event for non-payment of players' salaries.

Ludhiana: The governing council of the Wave World Kabaddi League have suspended Yo Yo Tigers franchise from further participation in the event for non-payment of players' salaries.

Acoording to a statement issued by the organisers, the non-payment of players' salaries has a material adverse effect upon the reputation or standing of the league

Yo Yo Tigers had refused to take the field for their match against California Eagles on Wednesday. California Eagles were awarded a walkover and two points.

Then on Thursday, Yo Yo Tigers players again refused to take field against United Singhs, who also got a walkover.

On Wednesday night, Yo Yo Tigers players officially lodged a formal complaint to the league regarding pending payments.

"The franchise, Yo Yo Tigers has been suspended for time being. We will conduct an inquiry into the matter," Commissioner of Wave WKL Pargat Singh said in a statement.

CEO of Wave WKL Raman Raheja added: "On Wednesday night we got the written complaint from players of Yo Yo Tigers about the payments due to them. They said that was the reason for their refusal to play. This is clear violation of the league rules and thus we have ordered an inquiry into the whole episode."
