HYDERABAD: Will Vijay Sai Reddy, the vice-president of Jagati Publications and Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy’s trusted aide, turn approver ? Though the CBI has reportedly been waiting for the past one week for him to give in, sources say Vijay Sai Reddy has been unwilling so far.He is said to be firm that he will not ditch Jagan even if it means getting arrested and spending months or even years in Chanchalguda central prison.Sources disclosed to Express that Vijay Sai Reddy, who has been summoned to the CBI office every day for the past seven days, was reportedly invited to turn approver in the case pertaining to Jagan Mohan Reddy’s assets.He is accused no.2 in the case and, if he turns approver, the CBI investigation will receive a boost.Sources say that though Vijay Sai Reddy has been undergoing intense grilling for the past one week, including Saturday, sleuths have not been able to break him.‘’He owes all his power and position to the YSR family and this is one of the reasons he has not given in so far.But you never know,’’ they said.In fact, on one occasion, Vijay Sai Reddy is understood to have told his interrogators he is ‘’ready to face arrest.’’ Over the past one week, there has been speculation of his imminent arrest.Sources, however, insist that CBI officials have not made up their mind on whether to go ahead with the arrest or wait for some more time for him to turn approver.It is likely that Reddy will continue to be summoned to the CBI office next week as well.Vijay has been instrumental in finalising and executing deals for Jagan Mohan Reddy’s companies.
