Making her debut at the biggest night in fashion, Alia Bhatt adorned an extraordinary ivory ball gown embellished with pearls designed by renowned fashion designer Prabal Gurung. Inspired by the theme of MET Gala, which was Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, the ensemble was inspired by the corseted couture ball gown worn by supermodel Claudia Schiffer, which was designed by Karl for the 1992 Fall Chanel bridal couture collection.
Styled by celebrity fashion stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania, the gown was adorned with one lakh pearls, making it a celebratory tribute to Karl. Alia looked like a fairytale in the basque waist ball gown crafted with silk tulle and satin face organza. Alia celebrated her big moment with a series of images on and off the carpet.
The highlight of this outfit was the custom-made embellished vegan leather glovelette designed by Outhouse and handcrafted within 48 hours. The pearls, the story, Prabal’s vision and the MET Gala together celebrated Alia Bhatt with elan.

Representing India and the next generation of creative talent, Alia Bhatt was announced as the first Indian Global Ambassador of Gucci. The actor, producer and entrepreneur, Alia Bhatt made her first appearance at Gucci’s Cruise 2024 fashion show in Seoul at the Gyeongbokgung Palace, on May 16, 2023. As an ambassador, Alia has done complete justice to the various Gucci ensembles she adorned on various occasions.
Her latest look styled by celebrity stylist Priyanka Kapadia has to be one of the best looks from the House of Gucci. Alia was spotted at the GQ event wearing the Gucci SS24, Rosso Ancora sleeveless, lined, evening cady jumpsuit featuring fabric panels over the pants. The bold yet chic ensemble featured a deep V-neck opening at the front and at the back and was completed with stitched pockets flaunting tiger head metal details and French pockets.

Be Kind, Rewind: 69th National Film Awards 2023
Alia Bhatt has always been vocal about normalising repeating outfits. At the 69th National Film Awards, Alia draped her wedding saree designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee to receive the award for Best Actress for her performance in the film Gangubai Kathiawadi. The one-of-a-kind hand-dyed ivory organza saree is embroidered with fine tilla work and Alia also adorned an embroidered hand-woven tissue veil for her bridal look.
At the awards ceremony, Alia who was accompanied by her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor was all smiles in the series of images she posted after being conferred with the National Award from President Droupadi Murmu. Both the iconic looks in Alia’s life were styled by Ami Patel. Remember Rani Chatterjee? The blockbuster movie Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani gave the world a wardrobe of vibrant, sexy sarees designed by fashion designer Manish Malhotra and adorned by the gorgeous Rani Chatterjee aka Alia Bhatt on and off screen. The six-yards of sheer elegance in varied shades of red, pink, black, purple, white and blue were brought to life with ombre and colour-blocking techniques.
Alia draped in a saree became quite a hit on social media which ended up with women recreating the look and posting reels with the film’s songs playing in the background. Later on, the sarees adorned by Alia on and offscreen were sold on Manish Malhotra’s website and 100% of the proceeds went towards preventive and promotive healthcare of vulnerable women and children through the NGO SNEHA.
For A Conscious Future: ED-A-MAMMA x Reliance Retail Ventures Limited
This year also saw two passionate entrepreneurs and new moms, Alia Bhatt and Isha Ambani come together. Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd signed a joint venture with Alia Bhatt’s conscious clothing brand of kids and maternity wear, Ed-a-Mamma for a 51% majority stake. This partnership also makes a significant step forward in promoting sustainable fashion for the younger generation.
