Of late, Bollywood heartthrob Ranveer Singh’s latest cover on Filmfare magazine is making headlines. But not many know it has a Pakistan connect to it.

Ranveer, who is known for his eccentric style, is seen donning creations by Lahore-based designer Mohsin Naveed Ranjha in the photo shoot done for Filmfare.

The designer started getting rave reviews for his work after the unveiling of Filmfare’s December issue. News18.com managed to get in touch with the designer and asked him to narrate his experience on working with Ranveer Singh.

“This shoot took place in the month of August in London. Both the parties had been in contact for the past two years. Ranveer and his team personally checked our work and glad that he totally loved it and officially took us on onboard. That’s how the journey started,” said Mohsin.

On being asked, how he decoded ‘Befikre’ star’s dressing sense, he said, “We shared mood boards, storyboards and sketches with Ranveer and his team. To be precise I personally kept his quirky dressing sense in mind while his royal looks in his recent movies helped me a lot for drawing out inspiration for this shoot.”

“The level of praise I am getting for this collaboration is remarkable. So many people love Ranveer Singh here. It just makes me so happy,” Mohsin further added. This states that Ranveer has managed to find a foothold in Pakistan and has a niche fan following in Pakistan also.

Sharing his fond memories with him, Mohsin said: “There are many from the shoot. He is an amazing human being, if we forget that he is a Bollywood sensation and get into a random chat with him-he’ll make the moment worth the while. He has huge regard for fashion designers across the border and not exaggerating but he’s quite excited to experiment with our designs in near future.”

Speaking about the animosity against Pakistani artists, he said: “I believe art serves the purpose of eradicating all kinds of conflicts, I really wish to see more such collaborations in future as well.

Apparently, Ranveer Singh is the first Bollywood male celebrity to collaborate with Pakistani designer.
