Aayush Sharma is currently gearing up for the release of his next film, Ruslaan. Aayush Sharma is married to Salman Khan’s younger sister Arpita Khan. Aayush made his film debut in 2018 with the romantic drama Loveyatri. The film was backed by Salman Khan. Aayush’s next film was also a Salman Khan Films production, Antim: The Final Truth, also featuring Salman. Thus, when both films failed to perform at the box office, Aayush faced severe criticism. One troll even said that Salman Khan “should have launched a dog instead of Aayush”. Recently, Aayush opened up about the toll this comment took on him.
Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Aayush said, “That day is what made me. I was facing a lot of things till then but when I was compared to a dog, that day I had a thought. That when my son grows up and goes on the Internet and reads about his father, (he will read) some person wrote that ‘his father is a dog’ that for me was… When my son and daughter grow up they should read good things about their father. They should be proud of me. And a big portal wrote about me that I am a dog, ‘Aayush Sharma is a dog.’”Aayush said that the hate comment pushed him to work harder on himself. He added, “Today, I want to thank them, you kicked me to become this person.”
In an earlier chat with Bollywood Hungama, Aayush also spoke about why he ventured outside Salman Khan Productions for Ruslaan. “I cannot keep working only in the family, in a closed set-up, because then my growth would also be stunted. It was a conscious decision to move out of the family for some time to work outside. It was important for me to grow, learn myself, evolve and be worthy enough to be called back,” he said.
