The makers have now revealed that the actress Madhoo is set to essay the role of Pannaga in the upcoming Pan-India film.

The highly- anticipated and high-octane film Kannappa is gearing up for release. Every update regarding the film is raising excitement among fans. The makers have now revealed that the actress Madhoo, also known as Madhubala, is set to essay the role of Pannaga in the upcoming Pan-India film.

The makers shared a poster on their official X account and wrote, “Presenting #Madhubala as #Pannaga; The chief of the clan with her fierce & dare-devil spirit she is a force to be reckoned with.”

Actress Madhoo also shared updates regarding this on her Instagram account. The poster of the film features the actress wielding a sword with a fierce look on her face. She can be seen wearing ancient attire.

The poster read, “SWORDS and SHIELDS carve destiny in “The CHENCHULU” clan’s fate. Queen PANNAGA reigns from NAREEKONA’s slopes. Her fierce daughter NEMALI wields deadly WEAPONS, ready for battle.” This newly released poster has doubled the interest of the audience in the film.

The shooting of the upcoming film is currently in its final stages. The makers are planning to make the film memorable not only in the South but also across the country. The film is based on the legend of Kannappa, a devotee of Lord Shiva.

Produced by Mohan Babu, this film is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. The film features Vishnu Manchu, Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, Prabhas, Sharath Kumar, Kajal Agarwal, Akshay Kumar, and Prabhas. Sheldon Cha handled the cinematography, Anthony did the editing, and Stephen Devassy composed the music for the film.

Earlier, the teaser of the Kannappa was launched at an event in Hyderabad. The film teaser was also released on YouTube in multiple languages. It is a historical drama with a lot of action. The teaser also provides a glimpse of Akshay Kumar in the role of Lord Shiva. The teaser for the film was initially premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2024. The film is all set to hit theatres in December. Kannappa was originally shot in Telugu and will be dubbed in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and English.
