In May this year, it was also reported that Sukumar has decided to shoot Pushpa 2's climax with utmost secrecy.

Allu Arjun is currently shooting for Pushpa 2: The Rule. While everyone is eagerly waiting for the movie, it has now been reported that the Telugu star will soon be travelling to Sri Lanka to shoot certain action sequences for the Sukumar directorial. As reported by E-Times, after wrapping up the Hyderabad shoot, Allu Arjun and his Pushpa team will visit jungles in Sri Lanka for the shoot.

“In the month of September, the shooting for the film will move to the jungles of Sri Lanka with many scenes of Allu along with his gang members and other characters being shot there and also few action portions,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed.

This comes just a couple of days after the makers of Pushpa shared an update on the film’s shoot schedule and assured everyone that the release date remains unchanged. “#Pushpa2TheRule is currently shooting a spectacular action episode for the climax #Pushpa2TheRule Grand release worldwide on 6th DEC 2024,” the team wrote on their social media handle.

In May this year, a report by Siasat also claimed that Sukumar had decided to shoot the film’s climax with utmost secrecy. Reportedly, he imposed a no-phone policy on sets to ensure no photo or video gets leaked during the climax shoot. Besides this, access to the script has also been restricted to a select few.

Meanwhile, the makers of Pushpa 2 also released the teaser of the film on Allu Arjun’s birthday earlier this year. In the teaser, the Telugu star was seen dressed in a saree with his face painted in shades of blue and red. He also sported makeup with heavy traditional gold and flower jewellery. He was seen beating up goons.

Later, Rashmika also talked about the much-awaited film when she promised that it would be “bigger” than ever. “I can promise you that Pushpa 2 is going to be so much bigger. We gave some madness in the first film, in part 2, we know we have a responsibility because people have so much expectation from the film. We are constantly and consciously trying to deliver that,” she told Pinkvilla.

Pushpa 2: The Rule was supposed to hit theatres on August 15, 2024. However, it has now been pushed to December 6, 2024.
