Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s divorce has captured a lot of attention in entertainment news. After getting married in July 2022, JLo filed for divorce in August of this year. A recent report from InTouch Weekly sheds light on Ben Affleck’s current state, revealing that he may be falling into a “very toxic pattern.” According to the insider, “Ben’s got a very addictive personality, and a lot of people think now that he’s sober, he’s switched vices and become a love addict. It’s obviously giving him some sort of buzz to be sort of back and forth with J. Lo, even though he has no intention of going any further than having a little fun.”
The source added, “For one thing, he’s messing with J. Lo’s head, which is not kind. And it’s also sending mixed messages to the kids, which isn’t healthy. It’s just putting everyone back on this awful roller-coaster. It really seems like he’s falling into a very toxic pattern, in the long run this isn’t going to be good for anyone.”
“The odds of he and JLo being able to fix their relationship and live happily ever after are so slim. Ben’s still saying that he wants a divorce. It just seems very self-destructive to be going down this path, and people are begging him to get a grip and start acting with a little more intention instead of just following every urge he gets,” the source concluded.
Previously, an OK Magazine report claimed that Ben Affleck has the support of his loved ones, including ex-wife Jennifer Garner and best friend Matt Damon. A source told the publication, “Ben may come across looking all happy and cheery. And he is, for the most part, but he certainly has his down moments. As much as he was relieved to escape this marriage, the divorce has still taken a toll on him. His reputation has taken a huge hit, and he’s grappling with a lot of guilt. There’s always a worry that he’ll turn back to his vices when the going gets tough. That’s the main reason you’re seeing Jen going over there nearly every day to make sure he’s okay. His mother, his brother and his close friends, like Matt Damon, are helping out too.”
The source added, “They’re all in touch with him and with each other. They’re very much a team and acting as a de facto support group for him. If they’re seeing a thing to worry about, they alert each other immediately. Ben knows they’re all in touch, but he doesn’t know the extent of it.”
Meanwhile, the same report highlighted that JLo is “treating herself to outrageous shopping sprees.” The source shared, “She (JLo) calls it retail therapy and says she needs it, but the bills are outrageous. She’s regularly spending a few $100,000 a day on designer clothes for her and her entourage. The way she’s haemorrhaging money right now is madness, but she says it makes her happy, so it’s worth it — end of story.”
Jennifer Lopez has twins, Emme and Max, with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. Meanwhile, Ben Affleck is the father of three children – Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel – whom he shares with his ex-wife, actress Jennifer Garner.
