Crakk Box Office Day 1: Vidyut Jammwal, Arjun Rampal's Sports Action Film Opens With Rs 4 Crore
Vidyut Jammwal and Arjun Rampal's Crakk minted Rs. 4 crore nett in India on its opening day.

Vidyut Jammwal and Arjun Rampal’s Crakk: Jeetega Toh Jeeyega has been released today, February 24. The film features Vidyut in his signature action genre and also sees Nora Fatehi and Amy Jackson in pivotal roles. The film has minted Rs. 4 crore in India on its opening day.

According to the tracker Sacnilk.com, Crakk opened with Rs. 4 crore nett in India. Crakk had an overall Hindi occupancy of 29.69% with night shows witnessing the most footfall. The film saw most occupancy in Jaipur, Pune, Delhi NCR and Mumbai, in that order.

The sports action film is co-written and directed by Aditya Datt and produced by Vidyut Jammwal under Action Hero Films. While the film hasn’t opened to rave reviews, Vidyut and Arjun’s performances in the film are being appreciated by the audience. Vidyut plays the protagonist Siddhu in the film. Meanwhile, Arjun essays the role of the antagonist named Dev.

News18’s review of the film read, “The film is devoid of any logic and it is proved umpteen times by the director. Sample this, Egypt and Africa are two separate countries, and there is an unclaimed country between them where Dev wants to rule. Geography lesson? A film like this is often defined as a mindless, no-brainer actioner. In the case of Crakk, it feels like the writers too kept their brains at home. The director only focuses on the action sequences and everything that happens between them looks lazy. The songs seem to be another deterrent in the film which is stretched too far. The runtime of 156 minutes seems like an eternity.”

“Crakk feels like a placeholder until the next action set piece kicks in. Some of which are impressive. I’ve always maintained that Jammwal in action is outstanding. It’s thrilling to see him hanging from a wire, showing off his hand-to-hand combat, or even outrunning his opponents. Director Datt also seems to be enthralled by his leading man. So we see many slow-motion sequences of the actor in action. Viduyt Jammwal can outrun helicopters, guns, and men but what he can’t outrun is the mediocrity of this film,” the review read.
