Deepika Padukone Cradles Her Baby Bump in Gorgeous Saree; Ranveer Says 'My Beautiful Birthday Gift'
Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone looks gorgeous in a stunning purple saree as she flaunts her baby bump in her latest photo shoot.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is expecting her first baby with Ranveer Singh, shared a new set of photos from her latest photo shoot. In one of the pics, the actress was seen cradling her baby bump as she posed for camera in a stunning purple-coloured saree. Deepika opted for this traditional look to attend Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding sangeet in Mumbai.

Sharing the pics, Deepika wrote, “Just… coz it’s a Friday night and (a baby angel emoji) wants to party!!!” She also tagged Ranveer in the caption. The ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ star was quick to react to the pics. “Hayyyye! My beautiful birthday gift! I love you,” Ranveer commented.

Meanwhile, Deepika has been receiving love and appreciation for her incredible performance in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. Recently, her co-star Saswata Chatterjee recalled shooting Kalki 2898 AD climax with the actress when Ranveer was also on the sets.

Speaking exclusively to News18 Showsha from Bangladesh, Saswata recalled shooting for the film’s climax, where his character Manas drags Deepika’s pregnant Sumathi by hair after he and his army invades Shambhala. The actor revealed that during the particular scene, Deepika’s actor-husband Ranveer Singh was present on set.

“Deepika is just ever-smiling,” Saswata said. He continued, “There is a scene in the film where I drag her by the hair. It was part of the last leg of the shoot and was shot in Mumbai because Deepika was pregnant by then. Ranveer came on set wearing an ensemble that was orange from top to bottom – tee, pants and shoes! He radiates such an infectious positive energy – he just can’t stand in one place! There was a lot of physical tussle in the scene, so I told Ranveer, ‘Don’t worry, for more physically challenging scenes, there’s a body double.’ He was so polite and humble. He smiled and said, ‘I know, Dada.’”
