With OTT platforms such as Netflix and Disney Plus, there is a list of holiday releases that you must be looking forward to watching with your loved ones. One such movie is a Christmas film starring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans, Red One. The holiday action flick is all set to premiere on Amazon Studios next year, and we have the release date. As quoted by Comicbook Movies, The Hollywood Reporter published that the movie will be out in theatres on November 15, 2024.
During a discussion with ComicBook.com, Chris Evans previously said that he has been in this industry for too long, but he has never seen a Christmas movie come across his lap. Talking about his first Christmas movie, he said, “It’s never been on my radar. They happen. They are occasional. But it’s never been something that’s come my way. So, the fact that this one popped up, I was like, ‘I can’t say no to this. I just can’t’.”
He went on to add, “And Dwayne is just unbelievable. He is such a nice guy, and he is incredible at what he actually does. He is so funny, charming, and really knows. What he knows, he is great at it and does it really, really well. And Jake Kasdan, the director, is just fantastic, and the script is really funny. I was just like, I gotta take this opportunity, and it was fantastic. It was one of the best working experiences I ever had.”
Elaborating further, Chris said that several questions echoed through his mind. He used to worry thinking “Is this gonna ruin Christmas for him?” because that day was special for him. He even used to think, “Does he really want to see his mug every Christmas?”
But then, Chris expressed that when it was a wrap, he was like ‘Aww’. He added, “I am telling you, every day was Christmas, and when it wrapped, I was like, ‘Aww.’ Believe me, I couldn’t get enough of it. So yeah, it was a great decision.”

Helmed by Jake Kasdan, Red One is touted as a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy. Within the holiday genre, the movie imagines a whole new universe to explore. As reported by Comicbook movies, Amazon claims that this unique concept symbolises a property that might not only become a blockbuster film but also reach beyond entertainment across multiple industries and businesses.
Additionally, the film is inspired by a script by Chris Morgan. Red One is produced by Morgan, Johnson, Kasdan, and Hiram Garcia, alongside Melvin Mar and Dany Garcia. Detective Agency’s Sky Salem Robinson also co-produced the film. Red One has a star-studded ensemble including Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, Kiernan Shipka, JK Simmons, and Lucy Liu.
