Hours after Gurucharan Singh returned home, the first picture of the former Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor has now surfaced on social media. Singh, who used to play the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular sitcom, was missing since April 22 but came back to his house in New Delhi on Friday night.
On Saturday morning, paparazzo account Viral Bhayani took to his Instagram handle to share a picture of Gurucharan Singh. In the photo, the actor looked unrecognisable in a long beard. He was seen smiling as he posed for the camera with a police official. Check it out here:

Gurucharan Singh was missing since April 22, 2024. He was supposed to take a flight from Delhi to Mumbai but he never reached the IGI airport. After Singh’s father filed a missing complaint, Delhi police stepped into action and took all possible measures to find him.
On Saturday morning, Delhi police officials reported that the actors had returned home. Singh was interrogated by Delhi Police officials following which it was discovered that he had left home to be on a religious journey. Police officials said that Gurucharan visited Gurudwaras in Amritsar and Ludhiana ever since he was reported “missing” but he later realised that he should return home.
Just a while back, Gurucharan’s TMKOC co-star Jennifer Mistry also talked about his return and expressed happiness. “That is a good news. He was missing for almost a month now. Everyone was worried, from his parents to fans. I knew that he would definitely come back. I also had a feeling that he must be out on some spiritual journey. He is a very spiritual person. I am happy this is the case and there is no trouble. I am sure his parents must be relieved now,” she told us.
The 45-year-old actress admitted that he should have informed his family about his whereabouts. “Of course, I think that he should have informed before leaving but we don’t know what his state of mind must be then,” she said.
Gurcharan Singh played the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi — a fun-loving man who is always in party mode and never shies away from expressing love for his wife. He was one of the popular characters on the show, and also a founding cast member. Gurcharan, however, left the show in 2013 only to return next year due to public demand. After his exit in 2020, he was replaced by actor Balwinder Singh Suri.
