Elder daughter of Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi, Jahnvi Kapoor has also joined the cinema fraternity. She began her acting career with the romantic film Dhadak, directed by Shashank Khaitan. She followed it up with a part in Zoya Akhtar’s Netflix series, Ghost Stories and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, a biopic of an aviator, who was the only woman officer in the Kargil War.
On the occasion of her 24th birthday, we take a look at her upcoming films:
1. Roohi
The Hardik Mehta directed film is scheduled to release on March 11, this year. Janhvistars in this horror-comedy opposite Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma. It is a story about a witch played, who has a habit of abducting brides during their honeymoon. The film is produced by Maddock Films and also stars Pankaj Tripathi.
2. Good Luck Jerry
In the first-look image of this Sidharth Sengupta directed and Aanand L Rai produced film, Janhvi is seen in a salwar, looking happy while ambling through a bylane of some old town. The film, written by Pankaj Matta, is produced under Colour Yellow Productions and also stars Meeta Vashishth, Deepak Dobriyal, Neeraj Sood and Sushant Singh. It is currently in production.

3. Bombay Girl
Janhvi will work with her father Boney Kapoor in this film about a rebellious teenager. The film is written and directed by Ssanjay Tripathi.
4. Rannbhoomi
Shashank Khaitan will direct Janhvi and Varun Dhawan in this war film. No plot details were made available. The film, produced by Karan Johar, is expected to release in October of this year.
5. Dostana 2
Janhvi will star in this romantic comedy from director Collin D’Cunha, with Kartik Aaryan and Laksh Lalwani, among others. The film is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Karan Johar under Dharma Productions.
6. Takht
Janhvi is also set to appear in the period drama Takht which will deal with the complex relationship between Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, played by Vicky Kaushal and Dara Shukoh, played by Ranveer Singh. Janhvi will play Dara’s wife. The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar, among others.
