Among them is actress Nayanthara, who, after a refreshing vacation abroad, has decided to treat her fans by sharing a glimpse of her stunning traditional look for the nine-day festival on her Instagram account. She opted for a vibrant red ensemble to honour the festivities.
On Wednesday, the actress shared a series of pictures of herself in a beautiful red saree featuring golden detailing. Nayanthara paired it with a matching puffed-sleeve blouse and enhanced the beauty of her look by adding a pair of golden jhumkas, a stack of red bangles and a gajra. In the pictures, the actress also flaunted her middle-parted bun hairdo adorned with sindoor. Kohl-rimmed eyes and a red bindi completed her look.
In one of the photos, Nayanthara posed against a vintage vase, and in another, she was seen tying the gajra on her bun. Following this, there was a picture where the actress was carefully applying kohl to her eye. She was also seen reading a book in one of the pictures. Meanwhile, the actress also gave a closer look at the tattoo on the back of her neck. She shared the pictures with just two red heart emojis. Soon enough, her fans started reacting to the post, complimenting her effortlessly gorgeous look.
Nayanthara, who married director Vignesh Shivan in June 2022, celebrated the second birthday of their twins, Uyir and Ulagam, whom they welcomed via surrogacy in 2022. On September 26, the actress posted a series of pictures with her husband and twins accompanied by a heartfelt note. She wrote, “Happy birthday my Azhagannnsss. Every second I spend with u both feels like I hv lived a whole lifetime in that tiny second. Love Life Magic Strength is alllll you. Thank you for this surreal life. I love you both with allllll my heart n soul my dear Uyir baby n ulag baby. May God blesssss u with all the goodness in the universe my babies. Amma & Appa love u to the moon n back.”
In other news, Nayanthara and Vignesh’s wedding documentary film Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale might soon be released on Netflix. While there is no official confirmation on the date of release yet, the film’s runtime has been disclosed. As listed on Netflix, the documentary will have a runtime of 1 hour and 21 minutes.
