Actors Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao recently appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show, hosted by comedian Kapil Sharma. The show’s promo hints at an entertaining episode, featuring Kapil teasing Janhvi about her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya. The makers released the trailer for the weekend episode on social media on Wednesday. It is all set to feature candid conversations about their personal lives and Janhvi’s swayamvar, offering a preview of a laughter-filled episode as the actors promote their upcoming sports-romance film, Mr and Mrs Mahi.
The promo begins with a game of dumb charades, where Janhvi is seen making fun expressions while trying to convey something to Rajkummar. She then jokingly asks Kapil not to include those awkward gestures in the trailer! In another segment, Kapil asks Rajkummar about working with Janhvi. He mentions their previous collaboration in Roohi, where Janhvi played a ghost, and their current project, Mr. and Mrs Mahi, where she plays his wife. Kapil then humorously asks Rajkummar if he found Janhvi scarier as a ghost or as a wife. To this, Rajkummar says, “Whether it’s a ghost or a wife, it is the same.”
The line stuns Janhvi, who is seen blushing. Kapil also teases Janhvi about her relationship with Shikhar, asking if she prefers to choose a life partner with similar interests. “Jis Shikhar par aap aaj hai,” says Kapil, as Janhvi blushes.
Meanwhile, the first review for ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ is finally out. The premiere of the film took place in Mumbai on Monday night and it has received positive reactions. Stars such as Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Khemu, Angad Bedi and Neha Dhupia took to their Instagram Stories to share their review. “What a lovely feel good film that reminds you that what is really important in life is happiness,” said Soha in her review. Kunal added, “Khushi dil mae hoti hai, wo bahar nahi milti. Simple, sweet and effective… all the best to the entire team for time one.”
