Jayam Ravi's Film JR 34 Poster Out, Fans Call It 'Strongest Comeback'

Amid the controversy around his separation from his wife Aarti, actor Jayam Ravi has made headlines by announcing his new film, tentatively titled JR 34. The Ponniyin Selvan star is teaming up with director Ganesh K Babu, known for Dada, for this upcoming project. Ganesh K Babu took to his official social media account to share the poster, writing, “Excited to share the announcement poster of my next film as the director of #JR34.” According to the poster, the filming for JR 34 will begin soon, with music composed by Harris Jayaraj.

Soon after, Jayam Ravi also shared the poster on his X handle.

The intriguing poster hints towards Ravi playing an intense character. The graphic resembles a torn page highlighting that the hero may have two sides. Several fans reacted to the video with congratulations and best wishes. One comment read, “After DADA, Waiting for your new genre. Poster gives that feeling of something curious! All the best na,” while another impressed fan noted, “On seeing a Harris Jayaraj Musical in the poster, wow, what a feel”

The movie will reportedly be produced by Screen Space Media Entertainment PVT LTD, who has previously worked with Jayam Ravi twice. Another report from OTT Play mentions that JR 34 will be produced on a grand scale, and details about the cast and crew will soon be revealed by Screen Scene Media.

Apart from JR 34, Jayam Ravi is busy with the upcoming release of his movie Brother, directed by M Rajesh of Siva Manasula Sakthi and Oru Kal Oru Kannadi fame, and co-starring Priyanka Mohan. He is also working on Genie, directed by Arjunan Jr, a former assistant to Mysskin, featuring co-stars Krithi Shetty, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Wamiqa Gabbi. Additionally, Ravi’s upcoming slate includes Kadhalikka Neramillai, directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi and co-starring Nithya Menen.

This big announcement comes amid the actor’s divorce from his wife Aarti. A recent report by Filmibeat revealed that Jayam Ravi had accused Aarti and her mother of mistreating him. He also stated that he had stopped using WhatsApp for six years due to his wife constantly monitoring his messages.

Jayam Ravi announced their separation on September 9 through a lengthy social media post, stating that although the decision was difficult, it was made after a lot of thought. Aarti later shared her side, claiming that the divorce announcement was made without her consent or knowledge.
