Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali have been hitting headlines ever since the latter expressed her desire to date the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor during her TV debut on Karan Johar's chat show Koffee With Karan. At a recent event, Sara's Simmba co-star Ranveer Singh played cupid and introduced Sara to Kartik. The Padmaavat star even made the two hold hands and said, “Glad, you guys have met."
Now buzz is that the two have been approached to star in a sequel to Imtiaz Ali's Love Aaj Kal. A report in Filmfare states that Sara and Kartik have already been cast and the film is all set to go on floors very soon. If it happens, then this would be the first time that these two will feature in a film together.
However, sources close to Imtiaz told Deccan Chronicle, "I don’t think Love Aaj Kal has any potential for a sequel. Imtiaz has entirely different plans altogether and neither Sara nor Kartik features in any of it.”
On the work front, Kartik has recently wrapped up the shoot of Dinesh Vijan's Luka Chuppi, which will see him opposite Kriti Sanon. On the other hand, Sara is busy promoting her upcoming film Simmba along with Ranveer Singh.
