Minister for Culture and Youth Affairs, Saji Cherian has announced the Kerala State TV Awards for 2022. Only one category, i.e.- the category for the best serial remained unawarded this time. As per the minister, this decision is due to the lack of deserving entries meeting the criteria.
In the Best TV Show category, the music reality show Super 4 Juniors has occupied the top spot. The award for the Best Comedy Show was conferred to the show Comedy Stars. Shivaji Guruvayur and Shisira PV were selected as the Best Actor and Best Actress in the Teleserial category at the State Television Awards 2022. The other categories and the winners are-
1. Best Book- Post Truth Television which is written by TK Santhosh Kumar. Kumar will be awarded Rs. 10,000/ and a Sculpture. Kumar has also been given a Citation award as well. It is awarded to researchers who are in the early stages of their careers for outstanding research in their field.
2. Best Article: An article on the Bigg Boss Malayalam by the writer Sajith MS. Sajith will be awarded Rs 10,000, a certificate, and a sculpture.
3. Best Telefilm (Less than 20 minutes): Bhoomi directed by Director Mithun Chandran will be given Rs 15,000, a citation award, and a sculpture.
4. Best Telefilm (Maximum 20 minutes): Kanam directed by Mridul TS. Mridul will be felicitated by Rs 20,000, a citation award, and a sculpture.
5. Best story writer: Sudevan PP for the teleserial/Telefilm) category. He will be awarded Rs. 10,000/- and Citation and Sculpture.

7. Best Children’s Short Film – Village Cricket Boy
8. Best Second Actor – Anu Varghese
9. Best Actress – Athira Dileep
10. Best Child Actor – DaVinci Santhosh
11. Best Cinematographer – Salu K Thomas
12. Best Visual Designer- Sachin Satya
13. Best Sound Designer- Vinayak Suthan
14. Best Art Director- Amaldev
15. Best News Cameraman – Santosh S
16. Best News Anchor- Anuja Rajesh
