In a big update, the upcoming season of Khatron Ke Khiladi will not be shot in South Africa. Instead, Rohit Shetty’s show will move to Romania. An insider, who is close to the show, has exclusively told this to News18 Showsha.
“No, Khatron Ke Khiladi is not happening in Cape Town (South Africa) this time. The show has been moved to Romania this year. We don’t have much idea about why this has been done but looks like, there wasn’t anything challenging left in South Africa as far as KKK’s stunts are concerned,” the source told us.
The insider further added that the contestants have received their tickets and will leave for Romania on May 20, 2024. “Yes, most of the contestants have received their tickets and will leave on the 20th of next month,” the source added.
Khatron Ke Khiladi is a popular reality show which is known for its spine-chilling stunts. It showcases a courageous group of celebrity participants who join this competition to confront their worst fears. The 13th season of the show was won by rapper Dino James. For several seasons now, KKK was being shot in Cape Town, South Africa.
Contestants who are likely to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 are Abhishek Kumar, Samarth Jurel, Mannara Chopra, Sanaya Irani, Gashmeer Mahajani, Ankita Lokhande, Shoaib Ibrahim and Helly Shah.
Just a few days back, Telly Chakkar reported that Niti Taylor has also been approached for the show. It was said that Parth Samthaan’s Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan co-star is in talks with the makers. Reportedly, Niti ‘liked’ the offer and was considering other factors to participate in KKK 14.
Previously, Bigg Boss 17 fame Navid Sole also expressed excitement to be a part of Rohit Shetty’s show. “While Bigg Boss was intense, pushing myself in a different arena like stunt-based challenges sounds thrilling,” he said and then shared, “I handle most things well, but heights and spiders send shivers down my spine. Khatron Ke Khiladi would be a chance to confront those fears head-on.”
Besides this, actor-model Jad Hadid has also been approached by the makers of Khatron Ke Khiladi for the upcoming season. Reportedly, Jad is currently in talks with the KKK team and if everything turns out well, he might be participating in the stunt-based reality show.
However, it should also be noted that no name has been officially confirmed by the makers as of now for Khatron Ke Khiladi 14.
