Khushbu Sundar SLAMS Konda Surekha Over Samantha-Naga Chaitanya Divorce Claims: 'Apologise To Entire...'

Actor-political leader Khushbu Sundar weighed in on Konda Surekha’s comments about Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce. Taking to X, Khushbu slammed the political leader for dragging Samantha and Chaitanya’s personal life, and asked her to apologise to Samantha. She also sounded angry as she asked people to stop dragging people from the film industry and making degraded statements about them.

“I thought it was only those who need 2 minute fame and indulge in yellow journalism speak this language. But here, I see an absolute disgrace to womanhood. Konda Surekha garu, I am sure some values were instilled in you. Where have they flown out of the window? A person in a responsible position cannot make such baseless, appalling and degrading statements about my industry, my place of worship,” Khushbu said in her post.

“Cinema industry will not be a mute spectator to such abuse anymore. Enough is enough. You have to apologise, as woman to another woman, to the entire movie industry for such baseless and false allegations. Democracy in India is not a one way traffic, but we shall refrain from stooping to your level,” she added.

For the unversed, Konda Surekha claimed that BRS president KT Rama Rao was responsible for Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s divorce. This has sparked a wave of controversy. According to Surekha, KTR’s alleged interference caused disturbances in the Akkineni family, which ultimately led to the high-profile divorce.

Surekha claimed that KT Rama Rao demanded that Samantha be sent to him in exchange for sparing Nagarjuna Akkineni’s N-Convention Centre from demolition. Surekha claimed that Samantha refused and it led to her separation from Naga Chaitanya. “KTR asked to send Samantha in return for not demolishing the N-convention centre. Nagarjuna forced Samantha to go to KTR, but she said no. That led to divorce,” Surekha was quoted as saying by Deccan Herald.

Samantha reacted to the claim with a statement on Instagram. She addressed the political leader and said, “Konda Surekha Garu, I am proud of what this journey turned me into—please don’t trivialise it. I hope you realise that your words carry significant weight as a minister. I implore you to be responsible and respectful of individuals’ privacy.”

Naga Chaitanya also reacted to the claims. Chaitanya called the claims “ridiculous” and clarified the situation. Nagarjuna also responded to the allegations and said, “I strongly condemn the remarks made by Honourable Minister Mrs. Konda Surekha. It is inappropriate to involve the personal lives of film stars, who stay away from politics, to attack your political opponents.”

Meanwhile, KTR has sent a legal notice to Konda Surekha’s claims.
