Khushi Kapoor remembered her mother, late actress Sridevi, on her death anniversary on Saturday, February 2024. Sridevi passed away at the age of 54 in 2018. Today marks her sixth death anniversary.
Taking to her Instagram Story, Khushi Kapoor shared an adorable throwback photo of herself and Janhvi Kapoor as kids with Sridevi. The late actress looked radiant as she held her daughter close and smiled at the camera in a blue saree. Khushi and Janhvi looked adorable in pink outfits.
Khushi Kapoor, the daughter of Boney Kapoor and the late actress Sridevi Kapoor, recently made her big film debut with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies.’ The film garnered warm reviews from viewers, with many youngsters praising Khushi’s performance. Khushi Kapoor then spoke about entering the film industry and following the legacy her mother has left behind.
“I think my mother always carried herself with so much poise and elegance, and she would just stand tall. When she’d enter a room, you would just know she’d arrived. And I think that’s something that I was just mesmerized by. Hopefully, that’s something I can learn how to do at least a little bit—just to carry myself a little better and hold my head up a little higher because I do tend to be a bit shy and more to myself and guarded at times,” she told Grazia in an interview.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Khushi Kapoor is all set to star in first-time director Shauna Gautam’s upcoming film. This film will reportedly feature Saif Ali Khan’s son, Ibrahim Ali Khan, as the lead hero. The film is being made in association with Netflix and will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatics. Recently, reports claimed that Suniel Shetty has also joined the film’s cast. An official confirmation on the same is awaited from Khushi, Ibrahim and Suniel.
