Kriti Sanon Confirms Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya Sequel With Shahid Kapoor: ‘Currently Being Written’

Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor starrer Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya was a big hit at the box office. The romantic drama was loved by fans and have been eagerly waiting for its sequel. Recently, the lead actress shared an update about the film and confirmed that the sequel of the film is in the making.

In a recent interview with Filmfare, Kriti Sanon was asked if she had another collaboration with Shahid Kapoor on the cards after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. In response, the actress revealed that the script of the sequel to TBMAUJ was in the works. She said, “The sequel for Teri Baaton Mein… is currently being written. We’re both eager for it to happen soon.” The robot rom-com features a stellar ensemble cast, including legendary actors Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia, promising brilliant performances and top-notch entertainment.

The story revolves around Aryan Agnihotri, a handsome, smart robotics engineer from Delhi, now based in Mumbai. Following the footsteps of his workaholic aunt, played by Dimple Kapadia, Aryan ventures to Los Angeles, where he meets Sifra, played by Kriti Sanon. Unknown to Aryan, Sifra is a robot that behaves just like a human. As their love story unfolds, it comes with numerous twists and turns, challenging the very essence of human-robot relationships.

On the other hand, Kriti Sanon and Dhanush are coming together for the first time in Aanand L Rai’s next film titled Tere Ishk Mein. Both actors have worked with the director earlier in different films. Pinkvilla has reported that the film will be an AR Rahman musical with Irshad Kamil on board for the lyrics.

Pinkvilla has quoted a source saying, “Kriti Sanon heard the narration from Aanand L Rai a couple of months back and has shown interest to get into the world of this action love story. The story aside, the actress has also liked her character’s arc and the way it transforms in the story. She has given a verbal yes to the film in the meeting today, however, the paperwork is expected to take place in a fortnight,” revealed a source close to the development, adding further that the actress had a meeting with Aanand L Rai today in Andheri to discuss the project.
