Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri has emerged as a Best Picture frontrunner following recent award wins and Gary Oldman, Frances McDormand and Guillermo del Toro are all expected to bag nominations.
Nominations for the 90th Academy Awards were revealed today with The Shape of Water bagging maximum nominations. After the Golden Globes and Screen Actors’ Guild Awards, the scene for this year’s winners look is pretty clear. However, the Academy is known for surprises and there are might just be some major snubs. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, this year’s award favorite has again bagged the big nominations for Best Picture, Best Actor and Director alongside The Shape of Water. Jimmy Kimmel will host this year’s ceremony that’s scheduled to take place on March 4.
