Priya Malik Opens Up About 4-Month-Old Son Zorawar’s Hospitalization: 'It Became Life-threatening'
Bigg Boss fame Priya Malik shared an update regarding her four month old son Zorawar's hospitalization.

Actor-poet Priya Malik recently shared a concerning update on Instagram about her four-month-old son, Zorawar. The infant has been suffering from a high fever for over a week, resulting in a hospital admission.

Malik recounted the harrowing experience, stating, “Zorawar had an alarmingly high fever that lasted an entire week. Initially, the doctors thought it was viral. However, on the morning of July 20, his fever spiked to 103 degrees, prompting an emergency hospital visit as it became a life-threatening situation for such a young baby.”

Malik elaborated on the treatment process, which has been ongoing for the past four days. “Initially, Zorawar was given paracetamol for two days and an injection, followed by a drip. We returned home, hoping he would recover,” she explained. However, her concern escalated when Zorawar’s fever spiked again. “On July 22, his fever rose to 102 degrees, and we had to rush him back to the hospital. This time, they admitted him due to the persistent fever,” she shared.

Doctors are now considering a possible urinary infection, and Zorawar has been put on an antibiotic course. Malik expressed her surprise at this potential diagnosis, noting, “He’s only on breastfeed and formula until six months, so it would be shocking if it’s a urinary infection. I had also started letting visitors hold him, which might have been a lapse on my part. The doctor mentioned that while adults have immunity to handle the weather, babies don’t.” Malik also speculated about other possible causes, adding, “We strongly feel that the monsoon weather might be contributing to his condition.”

In addition to dealing with her son’s health issues, Malik had to postpone her husband Karan’s birthday celebrations. “Karan’s birthday was on July 23, and I had planned to share Zorawar’s monthly photo update. Unfortunately, we had to delay all our plans. It’s heartbreaking to see your baby in the hospital on days that are meant to be joyful,” she shared.

Malik also discussed the preventive measures her family is planning to take. “The doctor recommended that all of us get flu shots. He also advised against letting visitors hold Zorawar and to avoid having visitors at home until he’s completely fine,” she concluded.

After her divorce in 2018, Priya Malik got engaged to Delhi-based entrepreneur Karan Bakshi in 2019. They later tied the knot on October 10, 2022.

Priya Malik shot to fame with her memorable appearance on the controversial reality show Bigg Boss 9. Apart from that, she has been featured in several other shows including Savdhaan India, Crime Patrol, Nazar and more.
