Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Rajummar Rao revealed that his wife Patralekhaa is one of his most unbiased critics. He stated, “She is my most honest critic. She would just tell me on my face if she didn’t like a film or a performance, which I think it’s important to have that constructive criticism as it helps you to grow as an artist. Otherwise, if you are just doing something and feeling proud of everything that you are doing and people around you are like, ‘oh this is the best thing you have ever done,’ no growth, and without growth, I think there is no art.”
Meanwhile, Stree 2 directed by Amar Kaushik, is set to open in theatres on August 14 with special night shows. Rajkummar Rao will star opposite Shraddha Kapoor. The cast also features Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurrana, with cameo appearances of Tamannaah Bhatia and Varun Dhawan. Advance booking for Stree 2 has begun, and according to Sacnilk.com, the film has already earned over Rs 37 lakh for its first day. According to the portal, 9,731 tickets of the film were sold for 2008 shows.
Stree 2 is the sequel to the 2018 movie of the same name which was among the most commercially successful films that year. The film is set in the little village of Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh, where an evil spirit named Stree abducts men at night during the festival season. Dinesh Vijan co- produced with Jyoti Deshpande Stree 2 under Maddock Films and Jio Studios’ banner.
